Why the Knicks have problems

The Knicks had great success with J.R Smith and Carmelo Anthony but they seem to have no success with Phil Jackson taking over as president of Knicks. In 2015 Phil Jackson picked PF Kristaps Porzingis from Latvia, Knicks fans reacted with boos. They said boo to Kristaps because they did not know he played internationally. Now he has the nickname “ unicorn” from the Knicks fans.

Jackson also had some problems with Anthony in the middle of the season when he said “ he is better off somewhere else”. There is a rumor that Carmelo will go to the Rockets who have two great players like Chris Paul and James Harden.

Also, there was a rumor that Porzingis will go to the Celtics for the 3rd pick, along with Marcus Smart and Avery Bradley. But the Celtics ended up drafting Duke F Jayson Tatum who is a great fit and is killing it in the summer league.

In his rookie season, Kristaps scored about 14.0 ppg and in 2017, about 16.0 ppg. In the 2016 off season, the Knicks fired Head Coach Derek Fisher and got Jeff Hornacek. They thought it would work out but it did not.

Anthony was drafted by the Denver Nuggets in 2003 but later traded for Danilo Gallinari who was on the Knicks and that is how Anthony went on the Knicks. The start of the 2016-17 Knicks started by winning 22 games and getting in playoff contention. Later, Derrick Rose had a tear in his leg. And Phil Jackson, almost thought of leaving the Knicks President job to somebody else. It is sad to see that they ended the season poorly again.

In this year's post season draft, they chose Frank Ntilikina from France who after the draft had to play to win a Championship in France

BTW Phil Jackson got fired by the Knicks recently. He has 11 championship rings to his name. I wish him all the best.
