The NBA playoffs are the most important time of the season, and this year here are the teams that made it to the playoffs. In the East #8 Chicago Bulls, #7 Indiana Pacers, #6 Milwaukee Bucks, #5 Atlanta Hawks, #4 Washington Wizards, #3 Toronto Raptors, #2 Cleveland Cavaliers, and #1 Boston Celtics will fight to make it to the finals.
In the West, # 8 Portland Trail Blazers, #7 Memphis Grizzlies, #6 Oklahoma City Thunder, #5 Utah Jazz, #4 Los Angeles Clippers, #3 Houston Rockets, # 2 San Antonio Spurs, and #1 Golden State Warriors will play to qualify for the finals.
The teams that made it to the finals are the 2016 NBA champions Cleveland Cavaliers and 2015 NBA champions and my favorite team, Golden State Warriors.
As we go into the NBA finals, Golden State Warriors are undefeated with a 12-0 playoffs record and the Cleveland Cavaliers with a 11-1 record. This is the 3rd time they are versing each other.

In 2015, the Warriors won over Cavaliers by 4-2 and made history by winning the title after a record 40 years.
In 2016, in a comeback of sorts (with Warriors giving up a 3-1 lead), Cavaliers in Game 7 of the finals, PG Kyrie Irving hit a fade away 3pt (with 57.8 seconds remaining in the game) to give the Cavs a 3pt lead which got LeBron James Finals MVP for the 3rd time and got Cavaliers the first championship in franchise history. Cavaliers had earlier won over the Atlanta Hawks that season who had finished 60-22 and with the most wins in franchise history. But they got swept by the Cavs.
For the 2017 season the Warriors got a new superstar who Kevin Durant and who is known as the Durantula and The Snake. Stephen A. Smith was mad about this decision and replied ”This is the weakest move a star can do”. Now MVP candidate Russell Westbrook is having the season of his career averaging 31.6 points, 10.7 rebounds , and 10.4 assist. On the other hand, James Harden is a MVP candidate with some explosive numbers. In the playoffs, Russell averaged yes, 37.4 ppg! That is more than Klay Thompson and Draymond Green combined. There was this rumor that LeBron would leave the Cavs but he got a 3 year, 100 million deal. He is stinking rich.

In game 1 of Cavs vs. GSW, Kevin Durant had a marvelous performance with 38 pts, 8 reb, and 8 assists. His teammate Stephen Curry had 28 pts. They won 113-91. GSW leads series 1-0. Klay Thompson went only 3-16 shooting in G1. Andre Iguodala was huge off the bench. He got 9 pts of the bench. Lebron had 28 pts,15 reb, 8 ast , and career low 8 turnovers. Kyrie had 24 pts, 2 reb, and 3 ast. Kevin Love did not play very well like he played in Boston. He got 15 pts, 21 reb, and 1 assist. Warriors acting Head Coach Mike Brown said it is only one game. He did coach LBJ and the Cavs and Kobe. Steve Kerr is very sick so he cannot go to the Finals. I hope he gets well soon and comes back to courtside. Game 2 is tomorrow at 9:00 ET and Cavaliers are going to fight hard.
Now some parting thoughts....
Hawk’s PF star Paul Millsap will explore free agency. The Hawks lost to the Wizards 4-2 in the First Round. Rapper Quavo was courtside in Game 6 vs Wizards but let's stay on topic. Kyrie Irving got NBA2k18 cover athlete and Legend C Shaquille O’ Neal got Legend Cover athlete. Congrats to them.
